My approach involves a four-step process, designed to ensure clarity and effective communication from the get-go. Here’s a breakdown of what each of those steps looks like:

Step 1: Discovery

Whether in person or over the phone, we get to know each other and your business. We’ll discuss your needs, pain points, and goals, and together we will brainstorm potential solutions and chart feasible paths forward. I’ll take the time to listen and ask questions, ensuring I have a clear understanding of your needs, budget, timeline, communication preferences, and any other information that is relevant to the project. By the end of this meeting, I aim to have a shared understanding that will inform the next phase of working together.

Step 2: Proposal

Once we’ve completed our initial discovery, I will work up a Statement of Work (SOW) document that outlines our understanding of the project goals, the services I will be working on, the time limits we discussed, and pricing. I will outline deliverables and deadlines, to ensure that everyone is on the same page about what the project entails. This document is essential because it helps keep the project focused and clarifies expectations moving forward.

Step 3: Onboarding

Once we settle on an agreed SOW that everyone is comfortable with, I will provide a service agreement, along with the finalized SOW, and any other onboarding documents if necessary for the project to run smoothly. I will explain what everything means so there is full transparency and comfort before moving forward. I believe that having a clear contract in place gives everyone added peace of mind and ensures everyone has a clear understanding of the project’s scope.

Step 4: Fullfilment

This is where I get to work! Depending on the tasks agreed upon in the SOW this phase may look different for each client. Along the way, I will provide updates, answer questions, and seek clarifications and approvals as necessary. Regular check in’s ensure that we remain on the same page and provide the opportunity for feedback, helping me deliver the best results possible.
